1970 Plymouth Superbird

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird. Purchased in 1979 for $2700.00! Restored by Jim in the winter and spring of 1979/80. At that time, body parts were available from the Chrysler parts department. Vitamin C orange, black interior. Bucket seat, console automatic. RM23UOA car. Jim sold it in 1982. Yikes! It is a $100.000.00 car now! Hind sight is 20/20........

The ROADRUNNER! The wing is made of cast aluminum. There are large braces in the interior of the trunk to support the wing, and prevent damage due to the forces applied to the body from aerodynamic drag at high speed.

Six days after Jim sold the Superbird, it was crashed
Jim sold his Superbird on a Monday in 1982. This is what it looked like six days later on the following Saturday morning.... A drunk driver hit the car and it's new owner.
